Norman Finkelstein is a poet and Emeritus professor of English, Xavier University, Cincinnati. Widely published in the fields of modern poetry and Jewish American literature, he is the author of seven books of criticism and thirteen books of poetry.
For him, esotericism is ”the stuff of the poem” (Finkelstein 2026) and his work bears the imprint of his interest in Gnosticism,, alchemy and Jewish theosophy. His new book of poetry, Wanderlust: The Complete Files, will be published in November 2026 by Black Square Editions.
Finkelstein is The Paul Auster Research Library Visiting Fellow 2026, in residence 11th September to 11th October.
